About The Blog

Welcome to the Survive the Day devlog—your behind-the-screams look at the making of a horror-infused productivity app you’ll regret loving.

Here, I document the highs, lows, glitches, late-night breakthroughs, and caffeine-fueled horrors of building this beast from scratch. You’ll find serious dev updates, ridiculous detours, and the occasional haunted rant about task logic or UI bugs that refuse to die.

Expect a mix of:

  • Devlog entries with actual progress
  • Personal posts about horror inspiration and media
  • Sneak peeks into the comic-style storytelling baked into the app
  • And a few ghastly surprises along the way…

Every post is signed by Grimm—your charming, unhinged host. But don’t worry. He’s mostly harmless.

Mostly.

About Phil

Believe it or not, yes, there is a real person behind all this madness. I’m Phil, the creator, developer and sidekick on this adventure of Survive The Day.

I started Survive the Day as a personal challenge: build something that actually kept me engaged and accountable. I didn’t want a minimalist app or a bubbly productivity coach—I wanted something with teeth. Something that turned my daily goals into survival.

With no previous coding experience, I jumped in headfirst, fueled by caffeine, sheer stubbornness, and the help of my AI sidekick, Chas G.P.T. (aka my development co-conspirator).

I’m designing this app for people like me—those who love horror, comic books, and a little motivation by way of looming doom. If that sounds like your vibe, welcome aboard.

Let’s survive the day together.
