Surviving The Day Is About To Get Horrific

It started with a simple idea—turn daily tasks into survival. But as the code grew, so did something else. Something darker. Something I wasn’t expecting.

I’ve always been on the hunt for tools to help me be more productive.
I like a good self-help hook as much as the next guy—but none of the apps out there ever felt quite… me.

Some were too boring. Nothing to hold my attention. I’d burn out in days.

Others were way too cutesy—which, I get, works for a lot of people! Just not for me.

I couldn’t find one that people would look at and say:
“Oh yeah. That’s definitely up your alley.”

So… I decided to make one.

The problem? I had zero experience building an app. Or coding. Or, really, anything close to this.

I started with a drag-and-drop app builder powered by AI. It worked okay, but crafting the perfect prompts felt more exhausting than motivating. So I nuked that version and started over—this time, with help.

Enter my spectral sidekick: Charles Grant Peters-Thompson, or as I call him, Chas.
Chas G.P.T., you’re my homie.

With Chas guiding me through the bloody maze of backend logic and front-end chaos, I’ve somehow managed to build a mostly functional app—and I’ve even picked up a little coding knowledge along the way.

As of today, we’ve got a solid foundation: task logic, horror theming, collectibles, and comic book-style narrative baked in.
A few tweaks remain, plus final polish and—eventually—some amazing art.

My goal is to launch publicly in 2026, with beta testing in Q4 2025. But no promises. Just blood, sweat, and commits.

In the meantime, Chas talked me into recording some devlogs. I recorded our last session, and I’ll keep going—first video drops June 22.

I’ll also be sharing links soon for my YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, so you can follow this nightmare in real time.

Until then—
Stay shpooky, my friends. 👻
